1. The first entry

I guess there is no better way to start a blog than to lay out my expectations for it. I know I have attempted one of these before, and have failed numerous times. I guess I am more willing to do this now considering I will be leaving my home, my friends, my city, my country, and traveling to the other side of the planet. 

I hope to be able to update this as often as I can so that you, the readers, are able to follow my adventures across the great country and continent of Australia. I know it will also be a way for my close friends and family to be able to make sure I am still alive and kicking!

The departure day is January 4th. I am terrified but excited at the same time. Bittersweet seems to come to mind as the word that makes sense. I know I have a lot of opportunities ahead, but I also know I will have a lot of struggle. Follow the Queen of Coach (as Michelle has oh so kindly labelled me) as he prepares to travel to a far away land....
